The theme for our 2017 Annual Conference session is "Vital Conversations: Race." As we did in 2016, we will be using Circle Process at our Annual Conference, June 15-17, 2017; this time we will use the table discussions to explore our theme.
Through its video series “Vital Conversations on Realities of Racism” the General Commission on Religion and Race (GCORR) has provided resources to facilitate, guide, and support discussions on racism and offer ways to move to "efficacy, justice, and courageous positive action."
These resources will form the basis for our Circle Process discussions at the 2017 Annual Conference. Circle Process is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2017, in the Expo Center.
Acknowledging that conversations about racism can be uncomfortable, GCORR hopes these resources will help us “begin dialogue, face our misconceptions and fears, and move deliberately to spiritual, community and social transformation.”
