Week of Prayer in New England is Oct. 8-14, 2017

Praying Our Way Forward was created by the Council of Bishops as a part of their larger commitment to “lead the church in every part of the world in times of worship, study, discernment, confession and prayer for God’s guidance.”

Each annual conference will take one week to have intentional prayer for the mission of The United Methodist Church to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world and for the work of the Commission on a Way Forward, which began meeting in January 2017.

The effort started Jan. 1, 2017 in the North Carolina Conference, and wraps up in the West Angola Episcopal area in June 2018. New England Conference's week of prayer is Oct. 8-14, 2017.

See the prayer schedule and learn more at umcprays.org

How this will work in New England: There will be three prayers, written by United Methodists from around the Conference, for us to say each day.

The prayers will will come via email to all subscribers to the UMCatalyst at 6 a.m., noon and 5 p.m. Links to the prayers will be posted on Facebook and Twitter at those times as well.

Visit our email archive "A Week of Prayer" to find the prayers for each day so far.
