Finding Our Voice:
Lay Speakers Share the Living Gospel with effective use of Communication Technology (On-line Class)
Book will be available soon
Course instructor Rev. Dr. Karen Munson, NEAC district superintendent for the Many Waters District.
Have you entered the computer age kicking and screaming or dancing and singing? Either way, it’s a reality of ministry. Explore how to use new resources, both practical and critical, as we put communication technology in its place...as a servant of the gospel. Identify the unique message God is giving your church to share with others.
This advanced Lay Speaking Course focuses on telling a congregation’s story in a time when communication technology is ever present. No matter what other assets they may or may not have, each faith community has a story to tell of Christ’s presence with them. This is an asset as unique as their community and as special as the people in it. Finding the voice to tell these stories in a world that needs to hear them is an empowering experience of the Holy Spirit. Communication Technology is meant to be in service to the Gospel and a tool for healthy lives, not the engine that drives the ship. Students will gain and practice tools in two areas:
Six Saturdays, 9:00-11:00 AM
