Weather policy

Conference Center

In cases of inclement weather, the Bishop's office and the New England Conference offices, including districts offices in the Conference Center, will close or delay opening in accordance with the Methuen MA School District. If Methuen District Schools are not in session, we will follow the Salem NH School District. Watch the area news for school closure notifications. 

Staff will work remotely as able.

Meetings/trainings 

When the Conference Center is closed, any scheduled in-person meetings or trainings will not take place. Check with the committee chair or staff liaison for information about scheduled virtual or hybrid meetings.

If an in-person/hybrid meeting or training is scheduled at the Conference Center on a weekend, contact the committee chair or training leader to get cancellation/rescheduling information.

District offices follow school districts in their area:
District 1 – Katahdin – RSU (SAD) 22 – Hampden, Newburgh, Winterport
District 2 – Many Waters – Winthrop Public Schools
District 3 – Green Mountain – Paine Mountain School District (in the Central Vermont Supervisory Union)
District 4 – Granite – Conference Center policy
District 5 – Commonwealth West – Conference Center policy
District 6 – Commonwealth East – Lexington, MA School District
District 7 – Seacoast – Vernon, CT School District
 
Camp & Retreat Centers
Our Camp and Retreat Centers will each make the closure decision for their respective facility.
